I particularly enjoy the seventh chapter of Everyone’s an Author, because they are
talking about arguing an opinion. Arguing an opinion is very important, as it
shows the reader or listener how other people may think towards a topic.
Arguments help people further develop an understanding of how other people view
certain topics, which allows people to form a better counter argument than what
one person may think. People can form their own counter arguments, but I
believe a stronger counter argument can be developed towards what a large
portion of people are thinking. As Everyone’s
an Author has indicated, it is quite a good idea to include “A clear
indication of why the topic matters.” If you refuse to include why the topic
matters or is relevant, there is a chance your viewer or listener will lose
interest. It is also important to argue your point of view to spread possibly
good ideas to the masses.
I definitely agree with you with how, to express a point to someone sharing a different view it must be argued.
